Antique Japanese Katana Sword Sold As IsDear collectorsthis item was sold a few weeks ago to a nno paying polish bidder, see number 150298278759. Meanwhile he has been suspended by ebay. I sitll want to sell it, so here it is once again// for offer is this nice and decorative old japan nippon samurai sword. Far east is not my favourite knowledge, so please decide yourself after looking at my 12 pics. I also cannot tell you something about the correct age, it maybe 200 years old or only 80, but i can garantee that it is antique and no reproduction. // it will be sold as is. There are some flaws to the grip textile, the blade is not sharp and it's tip looks other than the ones i found on google. There is one gilt decoration miniature (bronze? ) on the ray skin grip. Some traces of wear are visible on the blade like scratches and slight indentions to the edges of it's thick backside, also slight surface rust on the blade. I have removed the handle, but there is on visible stamp or makers mark on the entire blade and grip. There are of course some traces of wear like scratches and small varnish missings on the sheet too ( this was made of wood, drak brown or red varnished / laquered with lots of glitters). On the blade there is a slight visible wavy texture visible which runs along the cutting side, it looks like if there are two different sorts of steel. My friend told me that this si caused by different hardened areas. __________________________it is app. 39.4 inches or 100 centiemtres long. Shipping to the united states is 45$ incl. Insurance.
