Japanese Ww2 Police Sword Not Katana Or TantoJapanese short police sword circa 1930s, or possibly a bit earlier. These genuine japanese police swords are starting to get quite scarce especially in nice condition like this one.
Police badge on spine of hilt as shown in pics, grip wrapped in dark borwn leather, all grip wire is there, and all brass hilt fittings are nicely 'nanako' stippled and not worn down. Hilt latch works fine, 21 1/4 inch+ blade is factory made but not nickel-plated. Blade is in good condition with just a few little dark spots on it, and is even moderately sharp. Saya is nickel-plated and also in good condition, with ujst a few little patches worn through to the steel. Overall length when sheathed a fraction under 29ins. I could ifnd no manufacturer's marks anywhere on it. Payment to be wtihin 7 days of finish of auction, international payment by paypal, australian by direct bank deposit.
